03/18/2017: Played at Cold Shot in Appleton, WI. This was our first time there. This is a great little venue. The owner, Dave, ran sound and achieved an awesome instrumental and vocal balance both out front and on stage. Our drummer, Rick, had injured his shoulder so Sarah played cahon and was amazing. After the gig, Dave cooked up some pizzas and passed out beef jerky of various flavors and heat indices.

6/26/2016: Great day recording at Big Rock Studios. Rhythm tracks for 4 more tunes completed: Ballad of Lucky Jack, Incense, Twilight and Flight of Mystery. Mercury Dave treated us to Rubarb Martini's.

5/29/2016: Band played at Mellen Jam, Mellen, WI. We had a great time. The people who attend this unique festival are music lovers of the highest caliber.
5/9/2016: Mailed contract in for 2016 Art on the Square in Waupaca. Show is scheduled for August 20th from 3:00pm to 4:30pm on the main stage.
5/8/2016: Yesterday's recording went well. We did another take of On and On / Resistance and laid down rhythm tracks for Fun to be a Loser, Stardream, You and Me and Twilight.
5/7/2016: We are Recording at Mercury Dave's Studio. Gig coming up on May 14th at Rookies in Stevens Point
4/29/2016: Played at Goodfellas in Marshfield; Bubba bought us congratulatory shots after the show; Stage sound was kind of loud, but I think we sounded OK out front. It was great to have Rick drumming.
4/25/2016: Recording session with full band at Big Rock Studios. Rhythm tracks completed for Transition, Temporary Thing, Ballad of Lucky Jack, O World and Gem Tree. Gig this Friday at Goodfellas Pub in Marshfield, WI.

4/5/2016: Just heard from Mercury Dave of Big Rock Studios that vocals were successfully added to How Many Tears, Vanished and Waiting for You during recording session on 4/3/2016. Hopefully, we'll be practicing this Sunday to prepare for more rhythm track recordings
4/3/2016: We are recording another album at Big Rock Studios, David "Mercury Dave" Kruger, engineer. We've recorded bed tracks for about 9 of 21 tunes. Today Sarah and Jenny are working on vocal overdubs.
We have a gig coming up at "Goodfellas" in Marshfield, WI on April 29th.

Biography:
For years, Irene's Garden has been making their own original music in the Central Wisconsin area. The vocal harmonies, mixed with keys, bass, guitar, percussion, and violin create what's been dubbed "organic rock and roll," and "hippie disco." Though their music tends to defy genre, influences from jazz, country, rock and roll and club music are apparent in their songs. And whatever you may call the music that comes from the seven member ensemble gets people out of their seats and onto the dance floor. When you go to an Irene's Garden show, expect to hear songs about love, life, and outer space. The band plays venues ranging from clubs to music festivals. To go along with several recording projects under their belts, Irene's Garden is currently working their newest project, Big Rock Theory, due this summer.
Brett Stephenson played with the Stellectrics as a bassist and with Irene's Garden as lead guitar player. His improvisational technique was sublime. Check out his lead on Anxiety.
